I listened to a bit of this for fun.

I take it that you think it best that believers leave the “false churches”. By posting this do you have a specific audience in mind here that you think would benefit from hearing this? Is it directed towards the LDS community, or is it directed more to the general “gentile” church community here in Utah? Or do you have specific group of friends you think should hear this, like a group of Reformed guys going to a particular church here in Utah that you feel they could do better in going to a different church?

Or, maybe you just like the message?

Hmm… this gets me to another question… what churches here in SLC would you recommend, specifically, and which ones would you not? Like would you recommend K2 church, South Mountain Community Church, or Calvary Chapel? Which ones are "true" churches, and which ones would you say are "false" churches?

Didymus,

I cannot tell whether you are being genuine or poking fun to bait me. We covered all of your questions throughout the podcast.

We explained the difference between heretical, apostate, and worldly churches. The audience we were speaking to is a combination of everyone you mentioned, I merely got the opportunity to be on their program again.

There is a Biblical precedent for Church, both for whom it is for and how it should be done. The Bible spells it out very well. There are some great churches in Utah and there are some stinkers. The question is do you stay in a stinker if you are a born again believer? The program tackled this question as well as a few others. I surely have my preferences and on the top of my list is the church I attend, yet to give you a list without a justified reason just seems to lack wisdom (partially because I believe you are baiting me). If you are truly seeking and want to go to a church I would be happy to make a few recommendations, even then it would not be a comprehensive list.

Just to be clear the top of my list is what I would consider the more "Biblical Churches" I am truly blessed to be able to go to the church that I attend.

Oh, you’re on the program! Now that I think of it there was an Andy on it. I didn’t connect the dots. Sorry. I didn’t listen to much of it, it’s two hours long man, I started it to see what it was like and then my toddler took most of my attention.

You think I’m baiting you to poke fun at you? Have I done that to you yet? No, I won’t waste my time. I disagree with you on a whole host of things, but I respect you.

Anyway, the reason why I ask which churches you recommend is because I get around often, visit other churches, see what’s going on. No, I’m not church shopping, but I like to be familiar with the broader community. I might go and check out one of your recommended churches next time I have the opportunity. But if you feel uncomfortable I understand.

Didymus,

Thank you for your response, please understand that with our blog and our TV Show on Channel 20 I get lots of people especially Mormons and Atheist who have done everything from threaten me to personally attack me verbally. Aside from the threatening I am ok with people voicing an opposing view, hopefully we can put our views aside and then seek TRUTH together. That is all I am interested in is the truth. I apologize for thinking that you were baiting me, again I never know. You also havent directly shared where you are at so I have a habit of remaining guarded (which is wrong).

As far as the churches in Utah as we discussed a little before, many Christian Churches are more concerned with relevancy, cultural relationalism, and their size verses whether or not they are Biblical. Then there are the faithful ones who preach the Word of God regardless of how popular it is to the culture, because what is at stake is Eternity! Your more than welcome to check out some churches in the valley. There definitely are some great ones out there.
