Savin' Me......Nickelback saying what the world needs?

I have modified this post due to additional information. The only thing we can get from this is at least some of the secular world seems to be crying out for the Gospel. Or is that what they are really looking for?

Here are a few of the lyrics

Show me what it's like
To be the last one standing
And teach me wrong from right
And I'll show you what I can be
And say it for me
Say it to me
And I'll leave this life behind me
Say it if it's worth savin' me

The video has timers on individuals heads..........they need the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

I use to listen to Nickelback and loved their music. After reading the lyrics to their song Hero I decided not to listen to them any longer (they have worse songs I found out). The song says they are not going to wait for a hero and that love can not save us. But, Jesus being the love of the Father will save us.

You are right Drew...... although I do not know their exact status with God it is safe to say that with some of their other songs they are not bearing the fruits of repentance.

I modified the post to show that essentially all this is..... eternity on the hearts of men. And another excuse for us TO go out and preach the Gospel.

The mega church I attended up until last summer played this song during the 'impact Sundays' where we were encouraged to invite our lost friends/neighbors to church.
'If cool music doesn't help to get them to come to Jesus, what will?'

I agree I believe that is why the ONLY "Draw Card" should be the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Look at all these Churches spending thousands of dollars to edify themselves and make the Gospel more "relevant". The Gospel is always "relevant".
