Here is an exceedingly great article from an Astrophysist that is associated with AIG. The article delves into logical fallacies the inductive and deductive arguments. The irony here is many times if not all the inductive arguments are based upon assumptions, now sometimes they are likely assumptions, but they are assumptions nontheless. As Christians we need to be wary of making this mistake, an argument needs to have a logical reason to be deducted from. So lets focus our conversations from Logical deductions rather than assumptions.

Just recently I have fell in love with Romans, this particular book of the Bible is not only challenging but contains so much of our Theology in a nice little package. In fact when people have questions about the Christian Faith I will typically turn to Romans first. Many times the answer has been right there. Here are just a few things that have jumped out at me. This is by no means a comprehensive list or study just merely my interaction with the text.

Romans 8 discusses the believers and God's Soverign plan,
Romans 9 answers the questions about who is the author of Salvation and why God does some things that he does.
Romans 1:16 speaks about who the Gospel is for
Romans 1:18-32 delves into the question about what about those who have not heard the Gospel, that Eternity is in the Hearts of all men.
Romans 2 arranges an argument against our judgement in favor of God's judgement and that it is righteous. Pay close attention to Romans 2:4 4Or do you presume on(C) the riches of his kindness and(D) forbearance and(E) patience,(F) not knowing that God’s kindness is meant to lead you to repentance? What it is God's kindness that leads to repentance?

So those are just several of the important verses in Romans, there are many more and feel free to add in the comments section.... Well then why is this post about Grace you say? Simply because Romans yet again has the answer in fact there is a whole argument that Paul sets up about Grace here, this argument is very similar to what is discussed in Ephesians 2:8,9 and Titus 3:5 here is the passsage with some context

5So too at the present time there is(B) a remnant, chosen by grace. 6(C) But if it is by grace, it is no longer on the basis of works; otherwise grace would no longer be grace.

7What then?(D) Israel failed to obtain what it was seeking. The elect obtained it, but the rest(E) were hardened,

There is so much Theology packed into these little verses that it would take hours to really go through it all. What we see here in verse 6 is that if it is by Grace it is no longer works, and that if you even apply works there is no grace at all. This is paramount for Christians, Non-Christians and even Unbelievers. God has choosen and has given Grace which as we see in Romans 2:4 is from HIS kindness. So how do people gloss over these many verses and answers and formulate their own justifications and understanding as they pertain to the Theology of Grace.... well I belive that Romans again has the answer see Romans beginning at verse 1:21. God gave them over to their lusts and foolish desires. God allows men to come up with alternate explainations that do not fit a plan which glorifies God alone!

As Christians we need to have the answers 1 Peter tells us, and the answers although not always in Romans are there and they are plain to see, yet for some reason our own eyes can be darkened. I would ask that you pray that God would shed a light on your study and your reading, it appears that the only light that illuminates comes from Him. We also need to be very cognicent of creating a God we are more comfortable with or one that seeks to give us prosperity.

Ok so I know that I am the ultimate reposter. However this sermon was amazing and it is really not what you think it is about. It touches on the prosperity preachers, but in reality sheds a light on how we all try to formulate a Jesus that is more to our liking. Listen and comment.
