Is a major tenet of Christianity that Jesus Christ is the Son of God?

I do not know this Sheldon person, but I do understand how hard it is to stand by and listen to folks who lie about my Church. It is even harder to stand by and listen to those who have been decieved by the antiMormon liers, when the misdirected people truly believe the lies they are teasching about Mormon to be the truth.

Dear Concerned Christian,

James Macdonald leads a denomination of 69 churches. It is called the Harvest Bible Fellowship. Each church in this denomination operates with the same template. They are all called "churches of life groups." (If you aren't in a life group, then they don't want you in one of their churches.) What is a "life group"? The life groups are all facilitator-led groups. They exist for the purpose of group mind control. Harvest Bible Fellowship is a highly sophisticated mind control operation under a Christian covering.

Who is the director of operations of Harvest Bible Fellowship? Bill Molinari, who also sits on the board of John Macarthur's GTY and Macarthur's international ministry, TMAI. Who else supports this abomination? John Macarthur's TMS advertizes this "church" to their grads and promotes their Harvest Training School to their grads. Several TMS grads are now leading these "churches of life groups" as other TMS grads are enrolled in the Harvest School obligated to plant more of these churches in the future. (When I contacted R Mayhue, the director of TMS, to ask why he advertizes this "church" and its training school to his seminary grads I received no reply.)

John Macarthur considers James Macdonald to be a "close friend" and he fully supports Macdonald's Harvest Fellowship as he annually attends Macdonald's "Straight Up" conferences. "Christians" leading these "Churches of Life Groups" aren't following God's Word; they are actually following the Jewish Kabbalah.

Let's define Israelites, and the 10-lost tribes are also "The Israelites"... so this prophetic plans could also be applied to any of them whereever they are and however their appearance may look like today (after the long time mixed marriages and increase in number there, thus multiply greatly among some nations)... be they in Asia, Europe, Africa etc. etc.

Glenn Beck is better termed "Train Wreck". He does not believe what he is saying in this video. As those of us who are reformed can attest, many love to talk about the sovereignty of God but baulk at the application to them and their choices.
We should never take counsel from a cult member.
I am very concerned about the state of the nation and have a huge worldview shift with regards to my country.
Mr. Wreck is a statist and a patsy for the establishment. He should not be drawn from in the area of politics either. Try Alex Jones, Will Grigg, Alan Russso fro truth.

First I'm a huge Glen Beck fan... as a Christian, my faith is often strengthened when listening to him... I would even say that a person could get saved by listing to Glen's presentation of the Gospel, However, I'm afraid people may hear Good Christian Doctrine, as in the video, and then later become involved with the LDS church and be taught an inauthentic replacement gospel. It sounds like Glen may be drawing from his Catholic background at times as well... I've never heard another mormon talk like he talked in that video. In the end, the essense of Salvation is Knowing God... and I hope Glen does know Him, but If Glen uses Christian sounding language, but then actually believes in the mormon teachings that God the father had a beginning and was once a man, That God the Father has populated the world through literal sex with his millions of wives, that Jesus and Lucifer and all of us are among those offspring, and that through obedience to mormon teachings... (this must include temple works despite what glen said about grace alone) Glen himself can one day be a being of the same substance as God the father.... and many more non-biblical teachings... Then I'm afraid Glen does not know the one true God, the only God capable of saving a man's soul. The Jesus of mormonism is not a suitable attonment for sin... that's the issue.

I watched the video, and it occurred to me that any thoughtful atheist could easily see through the erroneous assumptions being made here and easily answer these questions to their own satisfaction, and I could imagine what those answers would be. The video seems to assume a lack of real intelligence in its atheist audience.

I'm curious, have you had much success converting people with this video? Or maybe this video was designed with a different audience in mind... a Christian one, to reinforce stereotypes?

This is indeed a challenging subject for me as well. I thought long and hard about using the word "Jackass" in the title of a piece that I worked on not long ago. When I consider this, I realize how far the Lord has graciously brought me from where I was as a teenager.

I have just stumbled upon your site today and am happy to have found such well written, biblically sound material to digest. This is a beautiful thing!

I've just jumped into the blogosphere myself in recent weeks, launching http://FireBreathingChristian.com , where the most recent post is entitled "Candy Christianity: The Counterfeit Gospel of the American Church", so this sort of subject has been on my mind.

It is always encouraging to connect with like-minded Christians. It is instances such as this that I am very grateful to Al Gore for inventing the Internet.
