Todd Bentley is one such person. People are flocking to this man in droves, just like the many who came before him. It is the job of the church to test all things with scripture and judge rightly. Shall we allow someone to lie to thousands of people, while we who know the truth stand by? Eternal life is in the balance here; the judgement awaits. Important and valid ministries are losing fiscal support to his organization. People are becoming more and more disillusioned than ever, with virtually no hope of tasting the true gospel. Paul and John both spent much time in their epistles writing on false teachers and such. We have been told by John for example to "test the spirits." Rather than people sharing the Word of God with folks and living their lives as a light they coerce others to attend crazy events like this. I think it is wrong and much like all defenders of the faith seek to expose it. <BR/><BR/>Does it deserve two posts? He does seem to be a bit of a fruitcake, and (unlike you) I don’t think I’d ever even want to meet him, unless I was maybe at least wearing a cup or something, a helmet, maybe a bullet proof vest, and chain mail. <BR/><BR/>But I have to ask, what has this post really to do with your mission statement of this blog? I mean, is this guy having any influence here in SLC at all? I’ve never heard of him except yours and one other guy’s blog. He’s a Benny Hinn with tattoos, how much influence is he really having?
