A question we get so often on the street and here in Utah. Do you need to read the Bible and pray about it? How do we then know it is God's Word? Mark Kielar discusses that here in this powerful sermon.

Christians Banned from using the public restroom in Manti Utah
The day started off great, there were many Christians worshiping and praising the Lord......
Witnessing was going on everywhere. Bill Mckeever brought his Gold Plates to show how Joseph Smith could not have ran 3 miles, being chased and jumping over logs with 200lbs of Gold under his arm.
The 34 wives of Joseph Smith showed up and told their amazing stories (11 of them were married to other men when Joseph married them).
The Mormon Pageant then mocked Christianity, and misrepresented what Christianity is
But then as the Christians were leaving many went to use the Public Restrooms, and were denied entrance!! The LDS leaders in the area convinced the Police and the Temple security to not let Chrisitans use the restroom. Other than some of the shirts and the 34 wives I am not sure how they knew, but at one point an officer asked a man for proof that he was Mormon.... I think he meant temple garments? It was outrageous, no where in any real Christian Church would people be denied a basic right to use the restroom. Wow I guess it is "by their fruit you will know them". The sign said "Public Restroom" I hope they change it for next year to "Mormon's Only Restroom".

Why is theology so important?
Anyone can believe that God spoke to them or that they got a feeling about something.
Just look at this incredibly off base demonstration.............we have to match up God's Word with what people experience, if there is no match are they then still Christians?
The Bible does not talk about physical acts of violence being necessary for healing. So what I would like to ask Todd Bentley is
WHAT VERSE IS THAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!??????????????????

What do you think of this Evangelistic Method?
This is an article from blog.mrm.org and since we have some folks who like Evangelism come on this blog, I am wondering what your thoughts are on this method. You can see my thoughts below.
Visually Illustrating Joseph Smith’s Wives to Provoke Thought and Start Evangelistic Conversations at the Manti Miracle Pageant
June 15, 2008
By Aaron Shafovaloff
On Friday there were 34 women represented. On Saturday it looks like there were only 27 women represented. For more pictures from evangelism at the 2008 “Manti Miracle Pageant”, scheduled to continue from next Tuesday till Saturday, see here.
For those of you new to the issue, I welcome you to check out the list on WivesOfJosephSmith.org.
Update: This is understandably odd and crazy to some of you folks, especially those who didn’t attend the pageant and see it for yourself. I’d be really careful not to pass quick judgment on the sweet women who put this together, and really careful not to make unfair comparisons from your own experiences from other contexts and venues. These are sweet gals who had patient, loving, delicate conversations with those who came up to them. I remember walking up to one Christian (dressed up as a “wife”) yesterday who had tears in her eyes. I asked her what the matter was and she simply said she was overwhelmed with sorrow over all the Mormon people at the pageant who were deceived by the Mormon religion. All around us were very cordial, very outstanding interactions going on.
Remember, they’re dealing with normal, regular Mormons, many of whom don’t even know Joseph Smith practiced polygamy. Some of them are reaching their friends, neighbors, schoolmates, and coworkers. I didn’t personally hear of complaints of the display being called offensive (although I’m sure I’ll hear them soon enough; it’s not fun for Mormons to have to explain to their fellow members the history represented by this), but I heard stories of Mormons expressing disbelief. For them this was the first time learning that Smith not only married over 30 women, but married over 9 who were simultaneously married to living husbands.
If one wanted to judge the event based off how effectively it educated and started good conversations, it was an extraordinary success. I fully support the women who had the evangelistic fervor and creativity to put this together.
Andy's Note: Personally I love this for quite a few reasons, I think that it draw people visually and uses truth in props for conversation. Most people who know me know that I am not a huge fan of sign holding all though I have seen that it is very effective. However I think this is far different and really brings out not only the validity of the issue but the illustrative effects are outstanding. Post your comments do you agree or disagree?

The Book of Mormon above the Bible
Since 1981 the Introduction to the Book of Mormon has stated,
“The Book of Mormon is a volume of holy scripture comparable to the Bible. It is a record of God’s dealings with the ancient inhabitants of the Americas and contains, as does the Bible, the fulness of the everlasting Gospel.”
Recently the Introduction was changed; among other things, the words “as does the Bible” have been removed. This change is consistent with the teaching of LDS Apostle Boyd K. Packer found in an article which appeared in the March 2008 issue of the Ensign magazine. In “Who Is Jesus Christ?” Mr. Packer stated, “Nephi testified that the Bible once ‘contained the fullness of the gospel of the Lord, of whom the twelve apostles bear record’” but later the “great and abominable church” took away many “plain and most precious” parts of the gospel (Ensign, March 2008, 16).
The above reference to the teaching of Nephi in the Book of Mormon has been a component of LDS doctrine since the Church’s inception. LDS prophets and apostles have preached continuously that the Bible has been corrupted and much truth lost from the original text. This LDS view of a corrupted Bible is now and has always been a major concern among Christians. The idea that the Bible is missing parts of the LDS Gospel is nothing new or shocking; but with this recent change to the Book of Mormon Introduction, the incongruity of the pre-changed text is brought to the forefront.
The Introduction was originally written for a new edition of the Triple Combination (one volume which contains the Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants and the Pearl of Great Price) published in 1981. The new edition of the scriptures was heralded as “the product of years of research and inspired direction.” * One wonders, therefore, how the inaccurate claim that the Bible contains the fullness of the everlasting Gospel came to be included in the first place. It certainly did not reflect the true teachings or doctrine of the LDS Church, yet it remained in the Book of Mormon Introduction for about 25 years.
Why?
This is truly concerning and as we have pointed out before they are making changes in the Book of Mormon that is moving a specific direction. How then can some very mislead Christians say that Mormonism is moving towards any kind of Christian Orthodoxy? I pray that they will see how Mormonism is not.Labels: Bible, Book of Mormon, Mormon, Orthodoxy

New Site is here!
After failed attempts of friends to do my website I finally buckled down and tried figuring this whole thing out on my own. I knew what I wanted but just didn't know how to get there. So this is the new creation and you can get to it from www.heartforthelost.com now. I am a technical guy, but that has been primarily hardware, and front end software. I do not know the back end stuff that websites are made of and PHP is not something I am as familiar with. So here it is the new website and I will update the site weekly usually by Wednesdays, in fact we also have a newsletter you can subscribe to up in the top left hand corner. I thought I would share this picture with you of us preaching last week. Notice the folks in the top left hand corner? Oh yeah and there is only "ONE WAY"
